I started at CFL six and a half years ago. After leaving school, I wasn’t entirely sure what career path to follow, so I worked in restaurants and took various college courses, but nothing quite felt right. I then landed a job with a courier company, doing data entry and warehouse work, which gave me insight into logistics and enough experience to secure a role at CFL.
As an introvert, I initially struggled with confidence, but my colleagues at CFL encouraged me to speak up and engage with new people. Regularly interacting with staff, customers, business partners, and a range of key individuals has now made me comfortable communicating with anyone.
I soon realised that it’s not the job itself that makes a business successful, but the people within it. This inspired me to pursue a role where I could help others and share my experience. Through my daily work, I learned more about CFL’s operations and eventually progressed to team leader. Now, I’m working towards a management position, gaining valuable experience through training and shadowing senior colleagues.
Joining CFL in 2017, Josh is the embodiment of persistence and growth. His commitment to effective communication is the key to success in his dynamic role, where each day brings new challenges.
Starting from crafting burgers at McDonald’s, Josh’s journey led him back to CFL, where he embraced export coordination before achieving the role of Duty Manager. The blue hi-vis now symbolises 4.5 years of growth and camaraderie within an outstanding team.
Beyond the warehouse, Josh’s passion for cars adds an extra layer of enthusiasm to both his professional and personal pursuits.

Working so closely with Heathrow Airport means that all of our employees go through lots of security checks.
This means that to be considered, you MUST have:
Since 1983, we’ve been moving goods on and off the airport. Based at Heathrow, we’re the UK’s only express ground handling centre and we’ve grown a lot in recent years. More demand for what we do means more capacity, better equipment, and a flawless team.
Logistics is a functional job and one that goes undetected to most people, but it’s one we love. Because we keep goods moving, which keeps people and businesses running smoothly.
Our average length of employment is 5 years, but we do have some warehouse employees who have worked with us for over 10 years.
